Wheels make the most difference to a bike.

Well built wheels improve the ride of any bike: light wheels help you to ride more quickly, while stronger, heavy duty wheels will carry a touring load without problems.

Greens' Bikeshop specialises in touring wheels, using top quality components, properly laced and carefully tensioned and trued. Front wheels can be built with dynamo hubs for night riding. Wheels are fitted with Schwalbe rim tape, and can be supplied with Schwalbe tyres.

At present I build with Mach 1 rims (the other French rims...) and Sapim Spokes.

We usually build wheels with 36 spokes and quick release hubs to suit derailleur geared bikes with rim brakes. If you prefer something else, please tell us in the box below. It is possible to build wheels with combinations of: solid spindles, single speed, fixed gear, hub gears, hub dynamo, disc brakes. If you want us to supply sprockets and tyres, tell us what you want. We'll work out a specification and a price for you.
